Holstein World to Broadcast 2009 National Holstein Show
Holstein World announces it will be working side by side with Affiliated Sires to provide online show coverage to dairy enthusiasts around the world. The two firms are collaborating to offer new and exciting ways to allow thousands of worldwide viewers the opportunity to see the best of North American shows online!
Affiliated Sires of Listowel, ON, Canada is the brand name of three different affiliated A.I. companies -- Foundation Sires, Taurus Service Inc., and Browndale Specialty Sires. Their motto is "Profitable Genetics with Global Credibility".
New features of the presentations this year include: video of judge's reasons on the top ten of each class; judge's notes on the championship classes; video interviews throughout the shows in the barn and ringside; and specially produced videos highlighting the Affiliated Sires bull lineups of special interest to show enthusiasts.

Win 2 Tickets to a Big E Concert!
The Eastern States Exposition Agriculture & Education department is offering 2 Big E concert tickets to the winner of our second annual T-Shirt Design Competition.
The winning T-shirt should embody the spirit of agriculture & education at the Fair.
Entrants may submit more than 1 design for consideration.
Designs should be no larger than 8 1/2 x11" and become the property of Eastern States Exposition.
The winning design will be printed on the 2009 Agriculture and Education T-shirt available for a nominal fee at the Mallary Information Booth during this year's Big E, Sept. 18 - Oct. 4.
Some tips: The simpler the design, the better the T-shirt. Big, bold strokes are the best design.
Designs can be emailed to aginfo@TheBigE.com or mailed to Eastern States Exposition, Ag & Ed Dept, 1305 Memorial Avenue, West Springfield MA 01089.
Along with your design, entries should include: name, address, email and phone. There will be no entry fee. Deadline for submission is July 5, 2009.
Big East Junior Beef Show Update
It is always a sign of Spring when the barn fills with beef cattle and kids. This year's Big East was very well attended with participants from 9 states. Eastern States Exposition is proud to host and be a major sponsor of this outstanding junior beef show. Results may be found on the New England Hereford website or by clicking here.
2009 Big E Hosts National and National Regional Sheep Shows
Eastern States Exposition will host the National Cotswold Show, The National Border Leicester Show, The National Natural Colored Show and The National Regional Southdown Show during this year's Fair. The fact that we have been chosen to host these shows by the respective breed associations is a compliment to the hard work of Sheep Show Superintendent Debra Hopkins, her staff, and the Exposition for providing an environment that these associations consider outstanding.
